    The Annual General Meeting of the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants will be held Friday, 1 March  2019, at the George Town Yacht Club.  Registration will begin at 4 and the meeting will start promptly at 4:30 p.m., followed by a networking reception. While Associate and Student members of CIIPA are welcome to attend, only Regular Members in Good Standing are eligible to vote.

    Form of Proxy

    The form of proxy is used to nominate another CIIPA member to vote on your behalf should you be unable to attend the meeting.  Proxies must be received prior to the start of the AGM.  If you are unable to attend, please complete the Proxy Form located here.

    In this session we will explore a high level overview of the Blockchain technology and how it works, as well as specific hot topics in the industry such as: regulations, security, custody and the general trend of the Blockchain industry. 


    Petri Basson, KPMG Senior Manager IT Advisory In his current role at KPMG, Petri is focused on the development of blockchain audit capabilities which includes developing audit methodology, detailed testing of controls, running Agile development and performing user acceptance testing. He has been in IT Advisory since 2016 and recently completed a secondment to KPMG's internal IT Security department.

    Who should attend:

    Anyone working in financial services looking for a better understanding of blockchain, its uses and potential implications on financial services.
